XRP Eyes $5 First as Long-term Charts Hint at a Possible $20 Rally

  • XRP could rally toward $5 if price reaches the channel’s upper resistance boundary.
  • Analyst Ninedex believes XRP still holds strong long-term support despite recent market weakness.
  • A breakout similar to 2018 could potentially send XRP toward the $20 target.

Traders are once again discussing the possibility of a major breakout for Ripple’s XRP. Recent chart analysis from Korean analyst Ninedex has revived bullish sentiment after weeks of market weakness. According to the analyst, XRP could climb toward $5 if price reaches the upper boundary of the current trading channel. An even bigger move toward $20 could follow if XRP repeats a pattern similar to the explosive breakout seen during 2018. Long-term support levels also continue holding despite recent corrections.

XRP’s $20 Dream Is Back$XRP could rally toward $5 if it reaches the upper boundary of its current channel, Korean analyst Ninedex says.

He added that a much larger move toward $20 is possible only if XRP repeats a breakout pattern similar to 2018.

XRP Holds Key Support After Recent Pullback

XRP faced heavy selling pressure during the recent crypto market decline. Despite the drop, long-term chart structure still appears stable according to Ninedex. The analyst believes XRP continues defending an important support region that previously triggered strong rebounds. Holding those levels matters because long-term investors often monitor historical support closely. Strong support zones usually help restore buyer confidence during uncertain market conditions. XRP now trades inside a broader channel that may shape the next major move.

Ninedex explained that the upper boundary of the current channel could send XRP toward $5. That target would represent a significant recovery from recent lows. Many traders already view the $5 region as a major psychological milestone for XRP. The market also continues watching broader crypto sentiment carefully. Bitcoin strength often influences momentum across large-cap altcoins like XRP. A stronger market environment could improve breakout chances over coming months.

Trading volume and investor confidence may also play critical roles. Bullish momentum usually strengthens when buyers return aggressively near support zones. XRP supporters believe renewed optimism could drive another sustained rally if momentum improves.Historical patterns continue influencing current market discussions as well. Traders often compare current XRP price action with previous cycle behavior. Similarities between today’s structure and earlier market setups have fueled speculation around higher targets.

Will XRP Really Reach $20 Again?

The much larger $20 prediction depends on one important condition. Ninedex believes XRP must repeat a breakout pattern similar to 2018. During that period, XRP experienced one of the strongest rallies in crypto market history. Back then, explosive momentum pushed XRP sharply higher within a relatively short timeframe.

Many traders still remember that rally because price gains happened extremely fast. Repeating such a move would require strong demand and favorable market conditions. Institutional interest and retail participation would likely need significant growth first. Broader crypto adoption could also support stronger long-term momentum for XRP.

Positive regulatory developments may further improve investor confidence around the asset. Still, traders should remain realistic despite growing optimism. Large price targets often attract excitement during recovery phases. Market volatility remains high, especially across altcoins with strong speculative interest.

SpaceX to Acquire Low-Band Spectrum Portfolio From Grain Management in Mobile Connectivity Push

06:50 AM EDT, 10/09/2026 (MT Newswires) -- SpaceX (SPCX) shares rose early Friday after the rocket and satellite company agreed to acquire a nationwide low-band spectrum portfolio from investment firm Grain Management as it seeks to establish Starlink Mobile as a major US mobile carrier. SpaceX will buy Grain Management's entire portfolio of up to 14 megahertz of paired spectrum in the 800 MHz band, the companies said in separate statements late Thursday. The deal is subject to the Federal Communications Commission's approval and other customary closing conditions. SpaceX's stock gained 3.7% in the most recent premarket activity. The companies did not disclose the financial terms, and neither immediately responded to MT Newswires' request for comment on the reported transaction value. SpaceX will pay about $8 billion in cash for the assets, The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter. Grain Management, which specializes in digital infrastructure, acquired the 800 MHz spectrum portfolio from T-Mobile US (TMUS) in August in exchange for $2.9 billion in cash and all of Grain's 600 MHz spectrum licenses. "This prime low-band spectrum addresses one of the key remaining technical gaps that will pave the way for Starlink Mobile to become a major mobile carrier in the US," SpaceX said in its statement. Following regulatory approval, SpaceX intends to combine its satellite-to-mobile constellation in space with a terrestrial deployment that will enable Starlink Mobile's signals and services to reach customers from both the ground and space, according to the companies. SpaceX said most existing mobile devices already support the band. "Our spectrum expertise allows us to connect the strategic value of these assets with the technologies and operators that can realize their potential," Grain Management Chief Executive David Grain said in a separate statement. "This agreement with SpaceX brings that capability to bear at extraordinary scale." Shares of Verizon Communications (VZ), AT&T (T)
