Glonghui, June 2 — Driven by the rapid development of the global artificial intelligence industry, the market capitalization of the South Korean stock market has repeatedly reached new historical highs. Since the beginning of 2026, the South Korean stock market has increased by 108.5%, with its market capitalization exceeding 5 trillion USD, overtaking India (whose stock market has fallen by 10.5% since the beginning of the year) and entering the ranks of the world’s sixth largest stock markets. In less than six months this year, the South Korean stock market has jumped four places, successively surpassing Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Canada, and India, rising to sixth in the world.
