NEYRO Completes Hacken Audit Phase One, Advances to Dual Defense Security Testing

NEYRO, a decentralized AI trading platform, has completed the first stage of a security audit by blockchain cybersecurity company Hacken. The project has now moved to a second stage where independent ethical hackers will test its system for weaknesses.

Crypto projects continue to face major security risks. Industry data shows that more than $1 billion was stolen from decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms during the first four months of 2026. In April alone, hackers stole around $606 million in 12 separate attacks, including incidents involving Kelp DAO and Drift Protocol.

Hacken’s security team reviewed the smart contracts that power NEYRO’s trading system. These contracts run on the BNB Smart Chain and automatically place users’ USDT funds into liquidity pools on PancakeSwap V3. The goal was to check the code for security flaws before launch.

NEYRO has now entered Hacken’s “Dual Defense” program. In this stage, independent ethical hackers try to break the system by simulating real-world attacks.

Unlike a traditional audit, which is a one-time review, this approach provides ongoing testing over a longer period. Hackers who discover serious vulnerabilities can earn rewards funded through Hacken’s DualDefense program.

Many blockchain projects are moving beyond one-time audits and adopting continuous security testing. According to Hacken’s Q1 2026 Security Report, six projects that had already passed audits were still hacked.

One of those projects had undergone 18 separate audits. In several cases, the attacks were caused by operational mistakes rather than problems in the audited code. This has increased demand for ongoing monitoring and testing.

NEYRO is a non-custodial trading platform, meaning users keep control of their own funds instead of depositing them with the platform.

Users connect their Web3 wallets, set trading rules and risk limits, and allow AI-powered trading agents to execute trades automatically. The platform’s first trading agent, Quantum Alpha, trades on decentralized exchanges through smart contracts.

Because user funds remain under the control of smart contracts, keeping those contracts secure is essential. According to NEYRO COO Andrew Isaacs, the audit is part of the company’s effort to improve security and build user trust.

“The audit is part of a broader effort to ensure that every component users interact with meets verifiable security standards,” said Andrew Isaacs, COO of NEYRO.

Security testing is also becoming more important because of new regulations. In the European Union, rules such as Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) and Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) require stronger security and operational resilience standards for crypto companies.

Hacken is an end-to-end blockchain security & compliance partner for digital assets. Unlike traditional providers, Hacken was born on blockchain, combining deep Web3 expertise with enterprise-grade quality, AI-powered offensive security, and globally recognized certifications. Since 2017, Hacken has been trusted by 1,500 adopters, including the European Commission, ADGM, MetaMask, Ethereum Foundation, and Binance to secure the new digital frontier.

Hacken CEO and co-founder Yevheniia Broshevan said the company’s goal is to help projects stay secure not just during audits, but over the long term through continuous testing and monitoring.

“A completed audit tells you the code was sound at a specific point in time… what happens after deployment… is what audits don’t tell you,” Yevheniia Broshevan, CEO & Co-Founder of Hacken, said.
