Trump Says Deal Is "Just a Few Days Away," But He May Not Have the Final Say
Trump is once again saying "soon." On Monday, he stated that the US-Iran peace agreement could be signed this Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, and emphasized that the maritime blockade on Iran would "remain unchanged and fully effective" until a "final agreement" is reached. Brent crude fell from $98 to $94, obviously the market is trading on the expectation that an agreement is imminent.
The problem is, the premise of this scenario might be wrong.
