Gold prices rose in India on Thursday, according to data compiled by FXStreet.

The price for Gold stood at 12,571.80 Indian Rupees (INR) per gram, up compared with the INR 12,550.09 it cost on Wednesday.

The price for Gold increased to INR 146,629.40 per tola from INR 146,381.80 per tola a day earlier.

Last Friday, G7 member countries agreed to release up to 100 million barrels of crude oil and diesel reserves. The IEA had announced a plan to release 400 million barrels in March, and as of last Friday, about 75 million barrels had yet to be released.
