Vet, an XRP Ledger validator and also the director of community at the XRP Ledger Foundation, highlights five key XRPL developments in a recent tweet.

These developments, which Vet refers to as being part of "XRP floor building," are outlined as a quantum readiness roadmap, a native onchain lending protocol, AI hardening the XRP Ledger by the Red Team, Formal Verification bringing military-grade security, and AMM v2.

In April, Ripple introduced a multi-phase roadmap that aims to prepare the XRP Ledger (XRPL) for a post-quantum future. This targets XRPL to achieve full quantum readiness by 2028.

The XRP Ledger version 3.1.0, released in January, added the Lending Protocol, which is currently being voted on. The Lending Protocol adds the ability to create loans on the XRP Ledger. Loan brokers can create fixed-term, uncollateralized loans using the pooled funds from a Single Asset Vault.

As part of the broader security work around XRPL's Lending Protocol and Single Asset Vaults, Common Prefix has announced a collaboration with the RippleX team to formally verify critical components of the Lending Protocol in Lean4.

XRP Ledger developments

Back in March, Ripple announced it was standing up a dedicated AI-assisted red team to continuously hunt for vulnerabilities in the XRP Ledger. The team publicly disclosed 287 xrpld issues on GitHub (231 open, 49 closed), and these are mainly code-quality improvements and defense-in-depth enhancements, with none affecting system stability, availability, or the safety of funds.

This consequently marked the release of xrpl version 3.1.3, dedicated entirely to security and bug fixes. This release included 20 red-team findings across several categories. The work continued with the launch of xrpld version 3.2.0, a cleanup and maintenance release this week. This version also retires amendments that have been activated for over two years.

In May, the XRP Ledger Foundation published an AMM v2 draft standard adding StableSwap and Concentrated Liquidity pools with the aim of improving capital efficiency.

Its Kulai and Sedenak West hubs offer 2.4GW of potential data-center capacity, while its AI-GPU capacity could scale to 100MW or more and support a new services business. The procurement of seven gas turbines totaling 5.25GW also positions YTL for power-generation growth and supports its expanding data-center pipeline, he reckons. Higher water tariffs and planned treatment plants at its unit Ranhill Utilities should support earnings as Johor's water demand rises, he adds. Hong Leong raises its target price to 8.08 ringgit from 7.58 ringgit and keeps a buy rating. Shares are 1.4% higher at 5.62 ringgit.
