Oil prices fall as signs of easing Middle East supply disruptions emerge

Analysts from the ANZ Bank Research Department said in a research report: "Oil tankers are becoming more visible when passing through the Strait of Hormuz." These analysts said, "The International Maritime Organization has stated that it has obtained security assurances, allowing hundreds of vessels to leave the Persian Gulf." The analysts added, "This plan will be implemented in cooperation with Iran, Oman, and the United States." The Strait of Hormuz is a key waterway, with about one fifth of the world's oil typically transported through this route. Nearby-month West Texas Intermediate crude oil futures fell by 0.4% to $72.89 per barrel.
