US Stocks Movement: FedEx drops 6.5% in after-hours trading, full-year profit outlook falls far short of expectations

Glonghui, June 24 | FedEx fell 6.5% in after-hours trading, closing at $296.55. According to reports, FedEx announced that its fourth-quarter revenue reached $25 billion, exceeding analysts’ average expectation of $24.01 billion, mainly due to increased shipping rates. Adjusted earnings per share were $6.31, higher than analysts’ forecast of $5.92. The company also announced it will change its fiscal year-end from May 31 to December 31, effective this month. Looking ahead to fiscal 2026, FedEx expects revenue to grow by 11% and earnings per share to be between $16.9 and $18.1, well below analysts’ average expectation of $19.86.
