Glonghui June 24th|Sony (SONY.US) is up 2.23% in pre-market trading to $20.09. According to reports, Sony Group is preparing for its first US dollar bond issuance in nearly thirty years, planning to issue two tranches of senior fixed-rate bonds. Previously, Sony issued yen-denominated bonds to small investors in 2013. The return to the US dollar bond market is seen as a positive move by the company to optimize its financing structure by taking advantage of the current low-interest window. In addition, Sony Semiconductor yesterday released a new mobile phone CMOS image sensor, "LYTIA 610", featuring 64 million pixels and a brand-new pixel design, with mass production and shipments scheduled for the end of this month.
