Glonghui, June 24 — According to Fortune China, the prediction market for World Cup betting has seen explosive growth, with trading volumes on all platforms reaching record highs. Kalshi saw the most significant increase: platform data shows that World Cup trading volume, including combination bets, has reached $2.9 billion and continues to climb. Polymarket also delivered impressive results. According to sources, since launching its World Cup betting section in July last year, the platform has accumulated a trading volume of $2.5 billion, making it one of the largest single modules in its history. Over the same period, the global decentralized finance platform’s football-related trading volume exceeded $5 billion. A Robinhood spokesperson said that since the beginning of this month, exchange and clearing institution Rothera—jointly operated by Robinhood and Susquehanna International Group—has completed over 500 million contract transactions, with 400 million contracts traded since the World Cup kicked off on June 11.
