Forge Nano is currently in negotiations with the Pentagon’s Office of Strategic Capital for a loan of up to $275 million. At the same time, the company also plans to go public through a merger with a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), with an implied valuation of approximately $1.2 billion. The company plans to build a new factory in North Carolina to produce battery cells for the U.S. defense and aerospace industries.
