Golden Ten Data, June 25 – S&P Global Energy Company released a report on the 25th stating that on the 24th, a total of 78 vessels passed through the Strait of Hormuz, setting a new single-day record for transits since the outbreak of hostilities in Iran. This month, the daily average vessel traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has recovered to about 57% of pre-conflict levels. The report indicated that as of the 24th, a total of 551 vessels had passed through the Strait of Hormuz this month, making it likely to become the month with the highest traffic since the outbreak of hostilities. The report pointed out that ships recently departing the Strait of Hormuz include not only vessels that had been stranded for a long time due to the conflict but also those that have entered recently, indicating preliminary signs of normalization in shipping activity. However, whether the uptrend in traffic through the strait can be sustained remains to be seen, and related agreements still need further consolidation and enforcement.
