These contracts are designed to track expected wind power generation at each location, offering traders, utilities, and renewable energy generators more options to manage the financial ripple effects of weather fluctuations. The contracts will be settled using independent data sets that model the theoretical wind power generation at specific locations. These data sets may be provided by a Finnish-listed weather intelligence company, Vaisala Oyj. These derivatives may launch in the coming months, but the plans have not yet been finalized.```
