The adoption of the blockchain has always been governed by the trading, speculation, and token launch. But now, within the building sector, the emphasis is on actual users and real applications.

This topic came to the fore in recent light of Gacha Sports co-founder Hadi’s assertion that real-world blockchain products and usage is currently dominated by Solana.

Solana Gains Recognition for Practical Applications

While value was once the main assessment criteria, many projects today are evaluating success by active users, number of transactions, and consumer interaction.

Consumer Apps Continue Driving Activity

The blockchain’s low-cost nature, along with its quicker settlement time, has proven appealing for apps that require numerous transactions per second from users.

High network fees with other networks also cause friction for network users, whereas Solana enables applications to run virtually free of any charge to an everyday user.

Builders Focus on Usage Instead of Speculation

Many startups that were initially targeting crypto speculators are emerging to cater to the typical users these days.

This includes loyalty programs, ticketing systems, social applications, gaming ecosystems, and digital collectibles that operate directly on Solana infrastructure.

UX is now one of the best selling points of the network for developers. Creates a scalable architecture without involving users in thinking about blockchain mechanics and gets them what they need, fast and cheap.

Institutional and Payment Narratives Continue Expanding

Solana has also caught the eyes of payment processors, tokenization initiatives, as well as financial infrastructure companies aside from consumer use. Over a year, activity on the network with stablecoins has risen dramatically and payment integrations are continuing to grow in various regions.

A few infrastructure providers have developed products on top of Solana for settlement, transacting and payments using digital assets. What this further demonstrates is that blockchain networks need to prove their value not just with trade but in other areas too.

The idea of Solana represents a greater move that can be seen throughout the whole crypto sector. In a way, networks that can create sustainable usage are no longer neglected in terms of investor and developer interest, as they are no longer only geared towards speculation.
