BlockBeats news, June 29, according to reports, the DRAM index, which reflects spot memory prices, has seen a significant pullback at highs due to a spillover of storage sell-offs from South Korea, dropping about 6% in 4 hours and now reported at $70.68.


A whale (0x7b5) on the Hyperliquid platform opened a position at the beginning of the month, went long with 20x leverage, and continued to roll and increase the position, resulting in the liquidation price being above the average entry price. The liquidation line is at $68, only about 3.8% (about $2.7) away from the current price, with a position size of $5.2 million.


Among large position holders on the platform, the average on-chain long price is around $70.12, and the average short price is about $68.35. The notional size of short positions is about 2.35 times that of the longs, showing an overall bearish sentiment. The largest short is the “Storage Chain Short Leader” 0x4e23, who is heavily shorting the entire storage chain (also shorting Micron, SanDisk, and Western Digital), holding a $14.29 million DRAM short position with 6x leverage (average entry $77.73, opened on June 24). The current unrealized profit has reached $1.47 million.
