Lee Jae-myung: Semiconductors, display panels, secondary batteries, and biopharmaceuticals are the four advanced industries that are the core strategic sectors determining Korea's future development in the AI era.

Lee Jae-myung presided over the “Chungcheong Region Advanced Industry Development Vision National Briefing” in Asan, Chungcheongnam-do on July 2. After listening to the investment plans for the Chungcheong region presented by companies such as Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, and Celltrion, he stated that the four major advanced industries—semiconductors, displays, secondary batteries, and biomedicine—are the core strategic sectors determining the future development of South Korea in the AI era, and the Chungcheong region is the core area where these four industries are concentrated with a well-developed industrial ecosystem. Lee Jae-myung emphasized that the government will by no means miss the critical opportunity to deeply integrate regional balanced development with advanced industry layout. The government will mobilize all available resources and actively support corporate investments, fully unlocking the benefits of companies' strategic decisions.
