Astar launches cross-chain USDC, replacing ceUSDC and several other legacy cross-chain assets
Foresight News reported that Astar Network has launched Bridged USDC (cross-chain USDC), which has been deployed by Swapper Finance based on Circle's Bridged USDC standard and Chainlink CCIP. This will replace previous versions of cross-chain assets such as ceUSDC. When users perform cross-chain transfers, the native USDC is locked on the source chain, and an equivalent amount of Bridged USDC is minted on Astar. This process does not involve liquidity pools or slippage, and provides a pathway for future upgrades to native USDC.
