ENS governance crisis intensifies as community proposes to delegate 5 million ENS tokens to reform voting power allocation
Foresight News reports that ENS DAO core contributor AvsA recently published a draft proposal on the forum, aiming to reform the DAO governance structure by delegating (rather than distributing) 5 million ENS tokens. According to the draft, 5 million ENS will be transferred from the DAO treasury to a multi-signature delegation contract, with 1 million allocated to each of five stakeholder groups (users, integrators, developers, traditional domain name system participants, governance community). Up to 10 candidates will be selected for each group based on certain criteria. Delegates will not receive any financial rights to the tokens, only voting rights. If a delegate does not participate in voting for over 6 months, their voting power will be reassigned.
The background of the proposal is a governance crisis in ENS, where a single delegate currently holds enough voting power to independently pass any proposal, and the total delegated voting volume continues to decrease, with recent proposals seeing significantly low voter participation. The proposal is currently in the feedback collection stage and has not yet entered the formal voting process.

Hassett Downplays AI Debt Risk: The Industry Has Sufficient Funds, No Risk of Broad Sell-Off
Kevin Hassett, Director of the White House National Economic Council, stated that the recent substantial decline in technology stocks does not indicate a comprehensive sell-off risk for the AI industry. He acknowledged that some enterprises are indeed burdened with significant debt, which warrants attention. However, he also pointed out that there are many financially strong companies within the industry that hold both equity and debt in related firms; these companies may be poised to acquire or provide funding support when opportunities arise.
