Saxo Bank: Investors' expectations for Samsung now go beyond impressive financial figures
According to Golden Ten Data on July 7, Saxo Bank’s Chief Investment Strategist Charu Chanana stated that after the recent record-breaking rally, investors now demand more from Samsung Electronics than just strong earnings. She noted that after a nearly 150% gain so far this year, investors require confident performance guidance, lasting pricing power, and evidence that AI demand is still accelerating. For Samsung, the key question is whether today’s memory chip bottleneck could turn into tomorrow’s risk of overcapacity. She added that investors will be watching Samsung’s full second-quarter results to be released later this month. If the guidance suggests slowing price increases, rising capital expenditures, cautious customers, or declining visibility, they may start to view memory chips as a late-cycle trade instead of an early-cycle growth story.
