According to Cointelegraph, the New Hampshire Business Finance Authority (BFA) is scheduled to hold a public hearing on Wednesday regarding the issuance of a $100 million Bitcoin-backed bond. The plan was approved by the BFA in November 2025 and requires final approval from the governor and a five-member executive council. The bond is collateralized by private borrower CleanSpark, and there is no recourse to state funds or taxpayers. Moody's gave this bond a preliminary Ba2 rating in March. New Hampshire is the first state to pass the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve Act, allowing up to 5% of public funds to be invested in digital assets.
