Mitsubishi UFJ surpasses Toyota in market value to become the most valuable company on the Japanese stock market
Odaily reports that Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Japan's largest bank, has risen to the highest market capitalization in Japan, marking the first time since the establishment of the "three major banking groups" that a Japanese bank has become the country's most valuable listed company.
According to Bloomberg compiled data, shares of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group rose 2.3% on Monday to 3,541 yen, pushing its market capitalization to 4.2 trillion yen (259 billion USD). This market value exceeds Toyota Motor's approximately 4.1 trillion yen and Kioxia Holdings' approximately 3.67 trillion yen.
