Bloomberg ETF Analyst: Leveraged ETFs Have Generated $66 Billion in Cash for Traders
According to Odaily, Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas posted on the X platform that he originally planned to examine how much cash leveraged ETFs have consumed since their launch and compare this to the $750 billion loss caused by underperforming actively managed mutual funds. However, after calculating, he found that these products have actually generated $66 billion in cash for traders using them. Many leveraged ETFs, such as TQQQ, have soared by as much as 38,000%, yet there have still been capital outflows, meaning traders have taken profits; this data is net of volatility drag and includes -2x funds.
