The Czech Ministry of Finance has listed Polymarket as an unauthorized gambling platform and has requested it be blocked within 15 days.

According to a report by Bitcoin.com News, on July 13, the Czech Ministry of Finance placed Polymarket on the list of unauthorized internet gaming sites, requiring internet service providers to block the platform within 15 days. The Czech Gambling Regulatory Research Institute stated that Polymarket settles in USDC and operates as a decentralized exchange without having obtained local authorization. Recently, Italy added Polymarket to its blocklist, and the Netherlands rejected the platform's appeal. This month, the EU market regulator ESMA warned that event contracts meeting the definition of financial instruments are prohibited from being sold to retail investors. Gibraltar launched a regulatory framework for prediction markets this week, and Malta is exploring a similar regime.
