Golden Ten Data, July 15|According to Barron's, Verizon Communications plans to carry out a new round of layoffs this week as part of its cost-cutting measures under the leadership of its new CEO. A knowledgeable employee revealed that the nation's largest wireless operator will announce the layoffs on Thursday morning. Since taking office in October last year, Verizon CEO Daniel Schulman has prioritized cost reductions. In November last year, Verizon cut 13,000 positions, marking the largest layoff in the company's history. In May this year, the company carried out a smaller round of layoffs. As of the end of 2025, Verizon will have 89,900 employees.
