Golden Ten Data reported on July 15 that South Korea's Hanmi Semiconductor saw its stock price surge more than 28%. Analysts believe this is mainly due to the company's second-quarter results exceeding market expectations. In addition, the lower-than-expected U.S. Consumer Price Index (CPI) overnight boosted New York stock market investors' confidence in the artificial intelligence (AI) semiconductor sector, which also played a positive role. Hanmi Semiconductor previously announced that its consolidated operating profit for the second quarter of this year was 130.3 billion KRW, up 51.0% year-over-year. This figure is approximately 8% higher than the market consensus of 121 billion KRW. Its operating profit margin reached 51.9%, not only surpassing the 50% mark for the first time in a single quarter but also registering a record high. During the same period, sales stood at 251.1 billion KRW, up 39.5% year-over-year, marking the highest quarterly sales since the company's founding.
