```htmlGolden Ten Data July 15|According to CNBC, Warren Buffett stated on Wednesday that he was the driving force behind Berkshire Hathaway's large-scale investment in Alphabet. Buffett said, "This was initiated by me. The secret to life—by which I mean the secret to investing—is to find businesses that can deliver high capital returns over the long term." Berkshire first disclosed its position in Alphabet in the third quarter of 2025 and has since significantly increased its investment size. Last month, the conglomerate further added $10 billion through private stock purchases. Although Buffett stepped down as Berkshire's CEO earlier this year, he remains chairman. He noted that he continues to work closely with current CEO Greg Abel on investment decisions. "I won't do anything he doesn't approve of, and he won't do anything I don't approve of," Buffett said. "We maintain communication at all times, but he is the final decision-maker."```
