Glonghui, July 16th — Google A (GOOGL.US) continued to rise nearly 2% in pre-market trading, at $378.23. According to reports, "Oracle of Omaha" Warren Buffett revealed in a recent interview that Berkshire has recently made significant investments in Alphabet, Google's parent company, and that he himself, rather than newly appointed CEO Greg Abel, initiated the investment. Buffett admitted that missing the opportunity to invest in Alphabet earlier was a major mistake. Berkshire first disclosed holdings in Alphabet shares in the third quarter of 2025 and has continued to increase its position since then. Earlier this year, the group also participated in Alphabet's $10 billion private placement, providing funding support for its AI infrastructure construction.
