Fidelity International plans to strategically increase its holdings of gold, with long-term momentum remaining strong

(1) Fidelity International stated that it will repurchase the gold positions reduced earlier this year at an appropriate time, believing that gold has strong long-term growth potential and that increasing holdings is merely a matter of timing. (2) Investment manager Ian Samson said that he reduced gold allocation to neutral between January and February this year (when the gold bull market abruptly ended), and expects the gold market to re-enter a bull run sometime in 2027. (3) The bull market logic will only be broken if governments restore fiscal discipline and central banks are truly committed to bringing down inflation; however, that is not the case in today's world. Meanwhile, ongoing gold purchases by central banks will continue to support gold prices.
