US Stocks Move | AtaiBeckley Inc. (ATAI.US) Soars Over 30% at Open After Announcing Acquisition by Eli Lilly for up to $3.8 Billion

Zhitong Finance APP reported that on Thursday, AtaiBeckley Inc. (ATAI.US) opened with a surge of over 30%, reaching a new high for the year and is now trading at $7.05. In terms of news, Eli Lilly (LLY.US) has agreed to acquire AtaiBeckley Inc. for up to $3.8 billion, highlighting the increasing interest of major pharmaceutical companies in psychedelic medicine, which was once considered a fringe field. According to a statement released on Thursday, Eli Lilly will pay $6.75 in cash per share, with an additional payment of up to $2.50 per share if certain drug development milestones are met. The base price is 26% higher than AtaiBeckley’s closing price on Wednesday.
