Zhicheng Finance APP reports that on Thursday, AST SpaceMobile (ASTS.US) shares fell more than 13% in early trading, cutting the stock price in half compared to the all-time high at the end of May, now trading at $57.09. According to reports, the company has disclosed plans to raise a substantial amount of new funds through the issuance of convertible preferred notes, sparking concerns among existing shareholders about equity dilution. The company stated that it plans to raise $1 billion through a private offering of convertible preferred notes due February 1, 2034. The offering is subject to market conditions and has not yet been priced or completed. The proceeds will be used to obtain additional orbital usage rights and explore cooperation or acquisition opportunities to reduce reliance on third-party launch providers.
