Oxbow Advisors founder Ted Oakley has warned that US stocks face a generational-level bear market risk, forecasting a market correction of 40% to 45%, and advises investors to focus on commodities and mining stocks. Ted Oakley noted that US stock valuations have deviated from normal levels, and the market may peak within the next 6 to 12 months. Chief Investment Officer Chance Finucane said he remains cautious through 2027. Using Intel as an example, Oxbow Advisors warns against chasing highs, and currently maintains a stock allocation slightly above 60%. Ted Oakley believes it would be surprising if oil prices do not return to above $100, and he is optimistic about gold prices, mining companies, and silver for next year's market performance, although gold is currently hovering below $4,000.
