Market News: Multiple users question Pinduoduo for reading screen and clipboard, potentially posing a risk of mnemonic phrase leakage
According to ChainCatcher, OneKey founder Yishi Wang (@ohyishi) posted on X to remind users that, in addition to screenshots that could be recorded, third-party input methods may also continuously access the user's clipboard content, and these behaviors could potentially lead to sensitive information such as mnemonic phrases being leaked.
Several users subsequently commented that after opening Pinduoduo without saving images or just after copying relevant content, the platform's recommendation page would display product information highly related to previous screen or clipboard content, raising doubts that the app might be accessing the screen or clipboard.
However, these claims are currently mainly based on user testing and feedback from social platforms, with no official public response from Pinduoduo yet.
