Odaily reports that Nasdaq-listed Bitcoin mining company LM Funding America announced it will officially change its name to PowerCompute starting July 22, 2026 to align with its new strategic direction toward AI computing infrastructure. Meanwhile, its common stock is expected to begin trading under the new ticker symbol “PWCM” on the Nasdaq market at the opening on July 22, with its CUSIP number remaining unchanged. Shareholders do not need to take any action because of the name or code change.

The company will leverage existing facility resources and its low-cost electricity advantage to provide customers with high-performance computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure services. Currently, the company operates two facilities, with a combined 26 megawatts (MW) of low-cost power resources, and plans to further serve enterprise customers with AI computing needs. This renaming signifies LM Funding America's continued shift from a traditional crypto mining company to a “computing infrastructure provider,” betting on the growth of the AI data center and high-performance computing market. The earnings yield of stocks, as measured by the inverse of the S&P 500’s price-to-earnings ratio, is now lower than the 10-year US Treasury yield, resulting in a clear yield suppression effect on the stock market from bonds. According to the Shiller model, the S&P 500 may outperform bonds by only about 1% annually over the next decade. The 20-year paradigm of stocks outperforming bonds has officially come to an end.
