Jinse Finance reported that on July 21, DoubleLine is increasing its holdings of short-term government bonds, citing that Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Walsh's credibility among investors will help the central bank keep interest rates unchanged this year. Bill Campbell, the company's Global Sovereign Debt and Emerging Markets Portfolio Manager, stated that the elevated yields on U.S. Treasury bonds are pushing up borrowing costs. According to the Shiller model, the S&P 500 may outperform bonds by only about 1% annually over the next decade. The 20-year paradigm of stocks outperforming bonds has officially come to an end.
