US equities gained roughly $480 billion in market value after reports indicated Iran had opened mediation talks with Pakistan. Investors welcomed the diplomatic development despite continued military tensions and rising oil prices.

The renewed negotiations revived hopes that regional risks could eventually ease, even as markets remained to fresh geopolitical surprises. Consequently, Wall Street extended its recovery while traders balanced optimism against mounting inflation concerns.

$480 BILLION has been added to US stocks today as reports come in that Iran is meeting mediators in Pakistan for peace talks.

Pakistan entered discussions after the short-lived US-Iran memorandum collapsed in mid-July over disagreements involving the Strait of Hormuz. The strategic waterway carries about 20% of global oil supplies, making any disruption a major concern for financial markets.

Besides, renewed military exchanges between July 18 and July 20 intensified fears over energy security. Investors now view Pakistan as a potential bridge for restoring dialogue and reducing regional instability.

However, crude prices continued climbing despite stronger equity markets. Brent crude advanced above $90 per barrel after trading below $72 earlier this month. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 gained 0.5%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average added 219 points, and the Nasdaq Composite rose 0.8%.

Additionally, Micron Technology jumped 7.8%, while Nvidia climbed 1.5%, supporting broader market gains. Moreover, elevated energy costs could sustain inflation pressures and delay future interest rate cuts, creating additional uncertainty for crypto and global financial markets.
