Glonghui July 23rd|Samsung Electro-Mechanics has signed a contract worth 300 billion won with a major global company for the supply of multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCC) used in AI servers. Following the signing of a 450 billion won contract last month, the company has successfully secured this additional order, further expanding the long-term demand base for high value-added components for AI servers. Samsung Electro-Mechanics stated on the 23rd that it will supply MLCCs for AI servers worth about 200 million US dollars to a major global company. The contract period is from January 1, 2027 to December 31, 2027. The counterparty of the contract was not disclosed. The client of the 450 billion won contract signed last month is believed to be a major US technology company, but this time the client is only described as a "major global company." Based on publicly available information, it cannot be confirmed whether this is an additional order from an existing customer or a new server and data center customer. The customer's name in last month's contract was also not disclosed due to confidentiality obligations.
