Veteran Investor Says Don’t Sell Your XRP Before You Watch This
As institutional interest in digital assets grows, XRP continues to feature in discussions surrounding tokenization, cross-border settlement, and the use of digital assets as collateral.
Commenting on these developments, crypto commentator Digital Perspective encouraged investors to think carefully before parting with their XRP holdings.
In a tweet, he wrote, “Don’t Sell Your XRP Before You Watch This!” alongside a YouTube video explaining why he believes recent developments strengthen XRP’s long-term outlook and its expanding role in institutional finance.
Throughout the video, Digital Perspective focused on comments from industry executives and recent institutional references to XRP, presenting them as signs that the asset could play a larger role in financial markets as tokenization expands.

Institutional Demand and Open Market Purchases
One of the central points in the presentation involved remarks attributed to Ashish Birla of Evernorth. According to Digital Perspective, Birla indicated that the company’s primary objective is to accumulate as much XRP as possible for institutional use. He said the firm intends to acquire the asset through purchases on public cryptocurrency exchanges, the same venues used by retail investors.
Digital Perspective suggested this approach could have long-term implications for XRP holders. He said investors who sell their holdings today may eventually find themselves unable to repurchase XRP at similar prices if institutional demand increases significantly over time. While presenting this scenario, he acknowledged that it reflects his expectations for how the market could develop.
Collateral Use and DTCC Educational References
The video also examined XRP’s appearance in educational material from the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC). Digital Perspective noted that Ashish Birla highlighted XRP’s inclusion in the DTCC Learning Center within guidance discussing crypto collateral haircuts.
He clarified that the reference does not represent an operational decision by the DTCC to accept XRP as collateral. Instead, he said it introduces XRP into institutional educational materials concerning collateral risk, which he believes is an important step toward broader institutional awareness.
Digital Perspective then referenced comments from Mike Higgins of Ripple Prime, who discussed the future of digital assets as collateral. According to Higgins, assets used for collateral could extend beyond traditional instruments such as cash and U.S. Treasuries to include Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, stablecoins, and tokenized money market funds. Higgins described tokenization and the use of digital assets for collateral, margin, and settlement as an important next phase in financial markets.

Long-Term Outlook Remains Speculative
Building on those remarks, Digital Perspective connected Ripple Prime, major financial market infrastructure, and the expanding tokenization market into what he described as a broader institutional framework for XRP.
He also returned to the DTCC’s educational guidance about the general $5 collateral haircut rule, saying he interprets XRP’s inclusion as a signal that institutions recognize the possibility that the asset becomes suitable collateral if its value remains above that threshold. This interpretation reflects his personal opinion rather than an official DTCC position.
Toward the end of the video, Digital Perspective revisited data showing that wallets holding more than one million XRP reportedly control over 74% of the asset’s circulating supply. He questioned whether institutions and large financial firms account for a meaningful portion of those holdings but acknowledged that this remains speculative.
