Bitcoin has surged beyond $65,500, fully recovering from a 13% slump experienced at the start of July. The cryptocurrency is now trading on a strong technical foundation, with momentum developing towards its yearly highs.
Bitcoin breaks $65,500, eyes $84,569 as supply vacuum emerges
Historic support zone forms after major accumulation
A pivotal development occurred as Bitcoin approached $62,000. Large-scale investors, including institutions operating through exchange-traded funds (ETFs), escalated their accumulation within the narrow band between $61,840 and $63,111. This systematic buying activity ultimately drained the available liquidity from sellers in that range.
The result was the formation of a significant volume cluster, with more than 1.3 million BTC exchanging hands at these key levels. This massive absorption created what analysts describe as the largest hidden support in Bitcoin’s history, shoring up the lower boundary and establishing a durable base for potential upside movement.
Mini dictionary: UTXO Realized Price Distribution (URPD) – A metric in the Bitcoin network that tracks the price points at which unspent transaction outputs (UTXOs) last changed hands. URPD highlights the buying and selling activity at different price levels, helping identify market support and resistance zones.
Technical outlook: No resistance above $65,500 until $84,569
Analyst Ali Martinez, who has closely tracked Bitcoin’s supply dynamics, reported that this accumulation has effectively wiped out technical resistance above the current spot price. Between the present trading level and the $84,569 target, Martinez described a “supply vacuum,” meaning there are no significant pockets of coins in this range waiting to be sold.
The only substantial sell wall appears closer to the projected top, with approximately 582,000 BTC potentially coming to market near $84,569. Absent new supply barriers, any uptick in buying interest could drive Bitcoin sharply higher due to the lack of overhead resistance.
| $61,840–$63,111 | 1.3 million | Major support zone |
| $65,500–$84,569 | Minimal supply | Supply vacuum |
| Near $84,569 | 582,000 | Sell wall |
With the creation of a massive support cluster below $65,500, Bitcoin now faces virtually no technical resistance up to $84,569, making it susceptible to swift price movement should demand intensify.
Macro factors and short-term volatility
Market participants have noted that the prevailing calm in broader financial markets, influenced in part by the upcoming U.S. Federal Reserve meeting on July 28–29, has dampened short-term volatility. Ongoing geopolitical tensions have also contributed to this subdued activity, but have not altered the structural advantage that has emerged in Bitcoin’s favor.
Strong capital inflows at lower price levels have solidified liquidity and reinforced the $62,000 zone as a crucial floor. With more than one million BTC now held at these levels, the cryptocurrency appears poised for a potential breakout if upward momentum builds in the coming days.
