South Korea Raises Single Stock Futures ETF Trading Collateral Requirements Three Days in Advance
BlockBeats News, July 24th - According to Yonhap News Agency, in response to external criticism that the timing of the South Korean government's implementation of single-stock margin trading regulations was too late, the government has decided to move up the strengthened basic margin requirement measures originally scheduled to be implemented next month to July 31st, three days earlier than planned.
The Financial Services Commission (FSC) of South Korea stated on the 24th that to promptly stabilize market demand, the originally scheduled basic margin strengthening measures set for August will be advanced to the 31st.
The FSC of South Korea announced supplementary measures on the 16th of this month, with the key content being: raising the basic margin requirement from the current 10 million KRW to 30 million KRW, and only accepting cash as collateral.
