A Whale's 30 Million Tech Stock Plan: AMD Plans Long Position, Micron Technology Awaits Rebound for Short Strategy
BlockBeats News, July 24th, according to Hyperinsight Monitoring, as of the time of writing, the largest single order on Hyperliquid by a day-trading whale (0x4e2) consisted of 209 orders, totaling approximately $30.679 million. The plan covers the "AMD long from the low, storage rebound plus short" scenario:
AMD Stop-loss to Close Short Position: The whale currently holds a short position in AMD worth approximately $6.051 million, with an unrealized loss of about $74,000; orders to reduce the position have been placed at $542.4 to $544.6 for $4.012 million, planning to reduce about two-thirds of the short position.
AMD Long Position Reversal: Another $16.444 million buy order has been placed at $531 to $541. If the price drops and reaches around $540.48, the short position will be closed, and the long position will be initiated. Subsequent trades will convert to the long side; if all orders are filled, the estimated final long position will be around $14.659 million, with an expected average price of around $537.7;
MU Rebound Plus Short: Sell orders totaling $8.187 million have been placed at $1012 to $1080. If all orders are executed, the short position in MU will expand to approximately $7.760 million based on the current mark price, with a comprehensive average price of around $1038.3;
SNDK Rebound Plus Short: Sell orders totaling $2.036 million have been placed at $1675 to $1849. If all orders are executed, the short position in SNDK will expand to approximately $1.946 million based on the current mark price, with a comprehensive average price of around $1700.7.
No visible stop-loss orders have been triggered, and there are also no take-profit buy orders for MU and SNDK. The overall strategy is to break even in the short position on AMD and then switch to a long position, while continuing to add to short positions during the storage sector rebound.
