Golden Ten Data, July 24 — A certain exchange surged over 10% in pre-market trading, reaching $384.15. The strong performance was attributed to robust freight demand and an increase in fuel surcharges, leading the exchange to surpass market expectations in its second-quarter results. During the period, revenue rose 11% year-on-year to $3.47 billion, higher than the market's expectation of $3.38 billion. Adjusted earnings per share increased from $3.29 in the same period last year to $3.52, also beating the expected $3.32. Claude Elkins, the company’s Chief Commercial Officer, stated during the earnings call that fuel surcharges were the main positive driver in the second quarter, helping to offset some fuel cost pressures. Excluding the impact of fuel, the company still achieved record quarterly revenue.
