Tom Lee: Ethereum will not be cannibalized by Layer2 and is likely to become a settlement layer

Bitmine Chairman Tom Lee stated that Ethereum is expected to become the most widely used settlement layer for finance and AI agents, and that ETH is the on-chain currency. Tom Lee does not agree with the view that Ethereum is being eroded by Layer2 and pointed out that while Layer2 networks attract users into the on-chain ecosystem, the Ethereum mainnet remains the primary economic settlement center.
