Bitcoin mining difficulty adjusted for the 15th time this year, decreased by 0.74%
Odaily reported that the Bitcoin network completed its 15th difficulty adjustment of the year at block height 959616, with mining difficulty decreasing by approximately 0.74%. Since 2026, the network has seen 9 difficulty decreases and 6 increases.
Since the beginning of 2026, Bitcoin mining difficulty has dropped from 146.47 trillion to 126.23 trillion, a decrease of 13.82%. During the same period, the price of Bitcoin has fallen 26% compared to January 1; the estimated daily revenue per PH/s hashrate, hashprice, declined from $37.39 to $32.21. Some large mining companies have diverted electricity resources to AI infrastructure and cloud service clients.
