Analysis: The proportion of Bitcoin long-term holders transferring their holdings to exchanges is approaching a historical peak
BlockBeats reports that on July 28, CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost stated that the scale of BTC long-term holders transferring their holdings to exchanges has recently reached a high level.
Currently, long-term holders account for 5.1% of the total Bitcoin inflows to exchanges. This proportion is close to the historical record, having only exceeded the current level in 2020, when it approached 5.5%.
This change occurred after a significant drop in the price of Bitcoin. Because the indicator uses a 90-day moving average, it is somewhat lagging and will not immediately reflect the latest market dynamics. In the future, this trend is likely to gradually stabilize, but according to current data, long-term holders have been significantly more active in trading recently.
