Glonghui July 30|Starbucks (SBUX.US) rose 4.3% in after-hours trading to $108.62. According to news reports, Starbucks released its third quarter 2026 fiscal year results, showing net sales down 1% year-on-year to $9.323 billion, still exceeding market expectations of $9.157 billion. Adjusted earnings per share were $0.85, also exceeding the expected $0.66. During the period, same-store sales grew by 7.9%, marking the fourth consecutive quarter of growth and outperforming market expectations of 6%. In particular, same-store sales in North America grew 8.1%, store traffic increased by 4.5%, and the average ticket price also increased by 3.5%. Looking ahead to the full year, Starbucks raised its performance guidance and now forecasts adjusted earnings per share in the range of $2.55 to $2.65, higher than the previous expectation of $2.25 to $2.45. Global same-store sales are expected to grow by nearly 6%, and U.S. same-store sales by over 6%, with both previously projected at a minimum of 5%.
