Shiba Inu Eyes More Upside as Nearly 3 Billion SHIB Leave Circulation

  • Nearly 3 billion SHIB burned, reducing supply and boosting bullish market sentiment.
  • SHIB gained 17% as buyers defended key support after recent profit-taking.
  • Holding above $0.0000050 could open the path toward $0.0000060 and beyond.

Shiba Inu has returned to the spotlight after delivering one of the strongest weekly performances among meme coins. A sharp increase in token burns has helped shift market sentiment in a positive direction. Buyers have also stepped back into the market after several quiet weeks. Together, those developments pushed SHIB to a solid weekly gain. Traders now focus on whether stronger demand can drive another breakout. The next few sessions could determine whether this recovery continues or begins losing momentum.

Massive Token Burns Fuel Stronger Market Confidence

One major factor behind SHIB’s recent rally comes from aggressive token burns. During the past seven days, nearly 2.98 billion SHIB left circulation. That marked the largest weekly burn total in about one year. Lower supply often improves market sentiment because fewer tokens remain available. While burns alone cannot guarantee higher prices, they can strengthen bullish conditions when demand also increases.

SHIB rewarded buyers with a 17% gain during the same period. Such price action suggests market confidence continues improving. Unlike many previous rallies, recent buying appears supported by stronger fundamentals instead of pure speculation. Investors now watch whether that combination can produce another sustained advance. The recent rally also attracted fresh trading activity across the market.

Buyers pushed SHIB nearly 40% higher before sellers appeared near the $0.0000058 level. Profit-taking followed that sharp move and pulled the price back toward the $0.0000047 region. Even after that decline, the broader recovery remains intact. Buyers continue defending important support levels while preparing for another attempt higher. The $0.0000050 area has now become a major battleground.

Technical Indicators Point Toward Further Upside

Several technical indicators continue supporting the recovery. The Average Directional Index climbed to 31.03 after spending weeks below 20. Rising ADX values often signal that a stronger trend has developed. Continued buying pressure would strengthen that signal even further. Another encouraging sign comes from the Supertrend indicator. SHIB continues trading above support near $0.00000444. Holding above that level keeps buyers firmly in control. As long as support remains intact, traders will continue watching for another breakout attempt.

The next technical target sits near the 200-day exponential moving average around $0.0000060. Clearing that barrier would strengthen bullish momentum considerably. Beyond that level, traders could shift attention toward the broader resistance area near $0.0000070. Shiba Inu has entered a stronger position after combining aggressive token burns with renewed buying interest. Technical indicators continue supporting the recovery despite recent profit-taking. Buyers now face an important test near key resistance levels. A successful breakout could open the door for another strong move higher.

Oil prices are Trump’s “big trouble,” while the yen is everyone’s problem

Oil prices are approaching $110 per barrel, with only seven and a half weeks left before the midterm elections, and the probability of the Democratic Party regaining the Senate has surpassed 50%. Political and economic pressures are forcing the White House to seek relief. Meanwhile, the structural appreciation of the yen poses an even deeper global risk—the correction in the U.S.-Japan interest rate differential, large-scale Japanese capital repatriation, and the forced unwinding of carry trades are all likely to simultaneously push up European and American bond yields and awaken the VIX. A cross-asset volatility storm may already be brewing.

Once the Federal Reserve starts the rate hike cycle, is "three consecutive hikes" a reasonable expectation?

BMO expects consecutive rate hikes in October and December, with a total of three increases potentially wiping out all rate cut gains for 2025. Vanguard believes "three consecutive hikes" is a reasonable starting point, but the actual number could be as high as six. There are historical exceptions: in 1997, the Federal Reserve raised rates only once and took no further action for the following 18 months. Meanwhile, trillion-dollar debt financing by AI giants, private credit exposure in the insurance industry, and the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield approaching 5% are the most dangerous pressure points in this rate hike cycle.

Goldman Sachs Also Changes Its Tune: The Fed Will Raise Interest Rates Next Week!

Goldman Sachs has shifted from predicting a rate hold to betting on a 25 basis point hike next week, stating that this change is not due to particularly bad inflation data—the August CPI was not perfect, but it wasn’t alarming either. The real key is that hawkish comments from Waller have already shaped market expectations: "If the inflation data isn’t perfect, there will be a rate hike." If the Federal Reserve backs down now, its credibility will suffer a serious blow and long-term interest rates could react sharply and immediately.
