Plume has joined the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation’s (DTCC) Digital Assets Solutions Industry Working Group, aligning itself with leading financial institutions as the tokenization of real-world assets advances within traditional markets.
Plume joins DTCC working group on tokenized securities with Schwab and Nasdaq
Plume strengthens institutional ties with DTCC coalition
The blockchain network will participate in the working group alongside Charles Schwab, Nasdaq, and Alpaca, expanding its presence among established financial players. Plume will contribute technical input to support the development of the DTCC Tokenization Service.
Plume confirmed its new role through an official announcement, stating that it aims to help shape the adoption of digital assets and collaborate with legacy institutions. More than 50 organizations from both traditional and digital finance are members of the DTCC group. Plume’s expertise in regulatory compliance and blockchain integration is expected to add valuable perspective as the coalition works to establish standards for tokenized securities.
DTCC is recognized as the world’s leading post-trade infrastructure provider, responsible for custody and asset servicing of over $114 trillion in global assets. Its initiatives in asset tokenization are closely followed across the financial industry as participants explore ways to integrate blockchain technology while maintaining regulatory and operational standards.
DTCC’s framework enables securities to maintain their existing legal structures while gaining blockchain-powered mobility, allowing investor entitlements, protections, and ownership rights to carry over into the tokenized environment.
Within the working group, Plume highlighted that each transaction on its platform undergoes security partner scanning at the sequencer level before it is finalized on-chain. The company also pointed to its affiliate Kimber Transfer Agency, which is registered with the SEC to oversee official ownership records for tokenized securities. This infrastructure aims to enable seamless and compliant integration between decentralized asset protocols and traditional market rails.
Roadmap for DTCC Tokenization Service and Plume’s regulatory progress
DTCC has scheduled the launch of initial production trades using its tokenization platform for July 2026, with a full-scale service rollout expected in October 2026. The regulatory foundation for this offering was established through a No-Action Letter from the Securities and Exchange Commission in December 2025, granting DTC three years of authorization to provide defined tokenization services to participants and their clients.
The DTCC’s tokenization model seeks to streamline settlement, reduce friction, and mobilize previously immobilized collateral across institutional markets. By leveraging atomic settlement features, the infrastructure aims to minimize timing buffers that are typical in traditional one or two-day settlement cycles.
Plume became one of the first blockchain-native organizations to register as a transfer agent with the SEC in October 2025, enabling it to directly manage shareholder records and report cap tables to regulators and infrastructure providers like the DTCC.
This role in industry working groups builds on Plume’s efforts to integrate its tokenization technology with established post-trade systems. The blockchain is designed with a focus on compliance, supporting the onboarding of real-world assets into decentralized finance frameworks while balancing security and transparency requirements.
Members of the DTCC Industry Working Group, including Plume, are actively engaged in shaping standards for how tokenized securities will settle within the broader financial ecosystem. The collaboration is expected to accelerate institutional acceptance and regulatory clarity for digital assets over the next several years.

Goldman Sachs believes that a slowdown in interest rate hikes only moderates the pace of the bull market, rather than ending it. The fair value forecast for gold by the end of the year is $4,650. The most crucial support comes from central bank gold purchases—currently at 91 tons per month, more than five times the historical average, indicating a structural trend that is difficult to reverse. In addition, call option positions are three times the average, and the hedging effect by market makers may mechanically amplify the rally, potentially resulting in actual gains that far exceed the base forecast.
