🔥 Bitget US Stock Hot Topic Sniping|2026.08.10 Main Theme: Soft Jobs Data Ignites Rate-Cut Expectations|AI Software Surge · Chip Rebound · Space Earnings image 0

1.Jobs data much weaker than expected, Fed rate-hike odds drop July nonfarm payrolls unexpectedly fell by 23,000 (vs. expected +80,000), with sharp downward revisions to the prior two months and the unemployment rate easing to 4.1%. Markets quickly cut September rate-hike probabilities, Treasury yields fell, and the S&P 500 closed at a record high on Friday, posting its strongest weekly gain since April.

🎯 Beneficiaries: SPY, QQQ, NVDA; Key catalyst: Soft data reinforces soft-landing + rate-cut expectations, driving capital back into growth stocks.

2. Palantir commercial AI acceleration, U.S. commercial revenue surges PLTR Q2 revenue jumped 93% YoY to roughly $1.94 billion, with U.S. commercial revenue soaring 149% YoY. Total contract value and net retention rate also rose sharply, and full-year guidance was raised again. The stock has surged nearly 40% in the short term as the market re-rates its enterprise AI platform monetization.

🎯 Beneficiaries: PLTR, MSFT; Key catalyst: Enterprise AI orders and raised guidance continue to drive the narrative; watch volume and analyst target upgrades.

3. Chip sector posts strong weekly rebound, NVDA gets SpaceX endorsement NVDA recorded its strongest weekly performance in over a year, with the broader semiconductor sector recovering. On the SpaceX earnings call, Elon Musk stated that future terrestrial and orbital data centers will prioritize NVIDIA chip architectures, reinforcing the AI compute demand story.

🎯 Beneficiaries: NVDA, AMD, MU; Key catalyst: AI infrastructure orders and major-customer endorsements provide support; watch intraday volume and sector linkage.

4. Rocket Lab and AST SpaceMobile report after the close Monday — space theme catalyst RKLB and ASTS are scheduled to report Q2 results after the close on August 10. RKLB recently secured large contracts including from the Space Force, with focus on backlog and launch cadence; ASTS is watched for satellite-to-cellphone commercialization progress. After SpaceX’s elevated AI capex, attention has shifted to mid- and small-cap space names’ execution.

🎯 Beneficiaries: RKLB, ASTS; Key catalyst: Post-close guidance, orders, and launch updates will drive overnight volatility.

5. Progress in Hormuz Strait talks, lower oil supports risk appetite Talks involving the U.S., Iran, and Oman on Strait of Hormuz transit arrangements continue, putting pressure on oil prices. This eases inflation concerns and further supports rate-cut expectations. Risk assets benefit, giving additional liquidity support to tech and growth stocks.

🎯 Beneficiaries: QQQ, XLE (watch inversely); Key catalyst: Geopolitical easing → lower oil/inflation expectations → growth-stock valuation expansion.

Trading note: Soft jobs + AI commercial monetization + chip rebound form a coordinated theme, with capital rotating toward growth and event-driven names. On Monday, focus on space-stock post-close guidance and futures sentiment; manage position size with volume. U.S. stock volatility has intensified recently. What to buy after the Federal Reserve raises interest rates? Historically, US energy and technology stocks outperform while real estate lags. Goldman Sachs: The pace of rate hikes determines the US stock market.

U.S. stock performance in the 12 months after the first Federal Reserve rate hike: According to Jefferies, the energy sector led with an average return of 22.4%, followed by information technology at 15.4%. According to Charles Schwab, real estate underperformed the S&P 500 by 4.3%, making it the worst of the 11 sectors. Goldman Sachs states that the pace of rate hikes is the core variable affecting U.S. stocks; currently, if the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield rises by 50 basis points within a month, it will create "rapid rate hike" pressure.
