This keeps oil prices elevated and maintains the prospect of the European Central Bank raising interest rates again, with eurozone money markets pricing an 81% chance of a rate increase in September, LSEG data show. A top Iranian official laid out tough demands for opening the Strait of Hormuz, while the United Arab Emirates said Iran launched a missile attack on one of its ships. Friday's weak U.S. jobs data and slight falls in U.S. Treasury yields temper gains in eurozone bond yields, however, with focus turning to Wednesday's U.S. inflation data.
