July Exchange Rankings: Spot Market Down 35%, Derivatives Trading Remains Resilient
In July 2026, spot trading volume on mainstream CEXs fell by 35.51% compared to June 2026, while perpetual contract trading volume dropped by 19.59% from the previous month. The decline in spot trading was significantly steeper than that for contracts, indicating the market is cooling down once again, but demand for leveraged trading remains relatively resilient.

In July, mainstream CEXs saw website traffic rise by 3.00% compared to June 2026, while app downloads dropped by 2.09%. Increased user reach did not translate into higher trading activity, with cautious sentiment still dominating the market.

In July, mainstream Perp DEXs experienced a 26.88% decrease in perpetual contract trading volume compared to June 2026, with website traffic decreasing by 10.57%.
